Herdr
Sesame Link works with Herdr. Your sessions show up as Herdr panes and tabs, and Herdr tells you which ones are working, idle, or waiting for you, even when you steer them from your phone.
Attach a session in a pane
Section titled “Attach a session in a pane”From any Herdr pane, attach a Claude Code, Codex, or Pi session:
sesame-link sessions attach <id-or-name>Herdr lists it as claude (link), codex (link), or pi (link) and keeps its status up to date.
If Herdr restarts, the session is attached again. Closing the pane doesn’t end the session.
Already chatting with plain claude in a pane? Run /open-sesame and the conversation moves into
Sesame Link without leaving the pane. See
Move a conversation you are already in.
New sessions open as tabs
Section titled “New sessions open as tabs”When you start a session from your phone or browser while Herdr is open, it opens as a new Herdr tab in the background. The tab goes in the workspace you already have open for that folder, or in a new workspace if there isn’t one.
If Herdr isn’t open, the session opens in your regular terminal app instead. To use only Herdr, restart Sesame Link with:
sesame-link stopsesame-link start --open-terminal herdrSesame Link remembers this setting when it restarts.
